Our Name
The Foxbox name honors Cypress and the comforting friendship he shared with Foxy.
A baby and his fox
The relationship between Cypress and his fox was different. It was more than just a favorite toy. Foxy was a part of Cypress.
As we go through life, if we’re lucky, we find items, or people, that comfort us. Cypress had a best friend and its name was Foxy. The first fox came as a gift from someone. Cypress, up until that point, didn’t have a favorite toy or blanket. He was happy with whatever was available. That all changed once Cypress met Foxy.
In fact, we had 10 foxes because once one fell on the floor we had to wash it before Cypress could cuddle with it again. And, of course, babies love to throw things on the floor!
Foxy saw him through three rounds of chemo, a bone marrow transplant, 15 days of radiation and the last moments of his life.
Our logo was inspired by Cypress’ love of Foxy
We wanted to capture the love Cypress had for Foxy in our logo. It was important to us, too, to show the special bond between a baby and their parent or caregiver.
Our logo designer, Carlos, worked with us to ensure that we captured those two special bonds in one beautiful illustration.
